what have you guys found to be the barrel life of a 6 Creedmoor especially for someone not loading yet.

It really depends on the powder used. All the research I've seen is if you use H4350 or the like you'll be in the 1000 round range. If you use a slower powder like H1000, you'll get more. There are ways to use H1000, you can form brass from lapua small primer .308 brass and have a Water weight of roughly 50 grains. You can stuff like 48 grains of H1000 in the case and push 3200 fps or more. Your milage may vary, but my go to load is 43.8 grains of H1000 with a 107 SMK @ 3180 fps.

I doubt you'll find someone who has shot their barrel out that doesn't reload. They may be out there but that's a lot of copper creek ammo since the hornady hasn't been out that long. I got just under 1k with a 22" running 105's hard at 3086, no pressure signs though.
I don't hand load. I use Hornady 140 ELD-M. Right now, I'm at about 1100 rounds I think. Accuracy for groups has definitely fallen off a tiny bit. But still shooting great at distance for pure hits on target. I'm guessing I'll get close to 2,000 out of the barrel before accuracy is too low for my taste. Barrel is 26" and I'm getting around 2818fps.
I'm at 1150 rounds running 105 hybrids at 3060 out of a 23" benchmark. No signs of being being burned out yet *knock on wood*

Its definitely a possibility that I am missing something but unlikely. Just have a heater of a barrel it seems.
Im right at 730 rounds on mine pushing 105's at 2950 in a 20" Bartlein with 42.5gn of H4350. I am now seating bullets out 0.030" farther than when the barrel was new. Just started on a second batch of brass and 42.7gn now shoots better than the old load.
43.8 gr, has to be a typo unless he's running about a 50" barrel...47-48 grains of h1000 in most 6mm short action cartridges nets you around 3100+ with 105s from 26" barrels in my experience
Thats what I was thinking too. I load my 243 with 46gr of H1000 and it nets me 2930-2950 in a 22" barrel with a 105.
Hit about 1100 the other day. Didn't have a chrono but it punched 1/4 group at 100 at the start of the day and 100 rounds later was still hitting moa steel at 650yrds with the correct dope. Saved 5 rounds to chrono and check if the group is opening up. Havent had to chase lands since about 550 round mark.

And this is no typo. I can provide results if i need to. Tested over a magneto speed and labradar.
We got about 2,000 rounds on our last 6c barrel. At 1,800 rounds, I shot a 5-shot group at 315 yards to make sure it was still grouping, and our rifle shot a 1/3 MOA group. Velocity was still good as right after that we shot a match and got a first round hit on the ~1,000 yard steel using the same dope that worked for our gun with about 1,400 rounds on the barrel. It was a 26" Bartlein with gain twist shooting 105 Hybrids over 42.0gr H4350 at about 3,075 fps. After that match and another practice session, we shot another match and the barrel didn't seem to be shooting very well. After the match I shot another 5-shot group at 315 yards and it was over 1 MOA. I considered it shot out.

hell, if all barrels ran like yours the 6 competition match cartridge would have never even been thought up lol
I shot out a 243 barrel in around 1500 or 1600 rounds. If I was getting 3180 fps out of a 26" barrel with only 43.8 grains of H1000, I'd still be shooting it, I'm sure. Like Morgan said, congrats on winning the fast barrel lottery!
I also think its the brass I'm using. I form brass from lapua .308 palma brass. The smaller case volume helps with velocity.
I did the same to a 22-250 in 700 doing the same thing. Sure was fun though.
While smaller case volume can mean more pressure with a given charge. Larger case volume equals more velocity potential.
Yes, though if your case fill and velocity are where you want them, a larger case is a moog point.
