Wasn't sure where to post this so figure here would be the best! I have a 6.5 creedmoor with a benchmark barrel. Started its life as a 6.5x47 in 28" cut it down to 24" to run an omega can on it. Curious if anyone has any experience running rechambered barrels and what kind of life expectancy I could expect?

No way to know for sure as we are missing some pertinent information. How many 6.5x47 rounds did it have on it and we're they got loads or not? How fast are you running your 6.5 Creedmore loads?

in general, with lots of variation, you can reasonably expect to get 2500+ rounds out of a good 6.5 barrel, depending upon the speed, pressure, long strings or not, and then finally, your accuracy expectations.

some people see as many as 3500 and more rounds from theirs.

I realize that. Was more looking for opinions on what could be expected. Was told right under 3k on 6.5 x 47 so I would assume it was a moderate load. I've shot 500 prime 6.5 and currently loading 42.6 of h4350 with 140 rdfs at around 2820.
