Long Range is a three day (24 hr) course that teaches shooters the fundamentals of marksmanship and introduces components of successful long range shooting including wind estimation, ballistics, and data collection. Long Range 1 is a learning experience for both the new and experienced shooters. Finish the course with a chance to hit the 10 ring at 1000 yards.

•Operator level cleaning and maintenance
•Rifle set up
•Marksmanship fundamentals
•Intro to data collection
•Basic external ballistics
•Intro to wind
•Live fire on 1,000 yard known distance range
Class begins at 8:30 a.m. and generally lasts until 5:30 p.m. (If you plan to travel home by air on the last day, please be prepared to stay in class until 5:30)
Rental rifles are available for use during the course. Ammunition is included with the rental. (You can reserve a rifle during the registration process.)
Equipment List:
•Barrett rifle zeroed (100 yards if using BORS®)
•100 rounds of ammunition (ammunition is available for purchase when you register)
•Tactical scope (ranging reticle recommended)
•Shooting mat
•Notebook and pencil
•Cleaning equipment (solid rod, solvent, patches, lubricant)
•Hearing and eye protection
•Drinking water
•Weather appropriate clothing including rain gear (We shoot rain, shine, cold or hot.)
•Lip balm (NM classes)
Optional gear:
•Spotting scope (25x minimum)
•Binoculars
•Insect repellent
•Hat and sunblock
•Knee and elbow pads
•Barrett monopod
•Sand bag
•Sand sock/ Rear bag
