Rifle Scopes Battery leakage? Illum. scopes have this problem?

After reading the thread about AA powered Eotechs possibly leaking, I was wondering if any of the illuminated scopes using 2032 button batteries for illumination do the same?

Is this a problem at all?

Have had a few cr2032 scopes over the years and never had one leak. I recently had an Energizer cr123 leak in a surefire flashlight that made quite a mess! Lesson learned:Only use Surefire cr123 batteries

Thanks for the reply. I've had AA's leak on various things, not my Eotech fortunately. Am considering my first illuminated rifle scope and wanted to ask before I buy. If this is an issue out there, I may just keep it simple and go with a good non-illum. scope instead.

use lithium batteries. less prone to leakage from what i've found so far.

In my years of handling both S&B and PH scopes I have never had one come back that had a leaky battery. Both use CR2032's.
+1 on the Lithium seeming to be more leak free.

Been putting the 2032 batteries in our scopes for 20 years and have never seen one leak.

I've never had a CR 2032 in anything that I have used them in. AA's, yes in many applications. Most recently in a TV remote

all "button" batteries have paste like solid within unlike AA,AAA,B,C,etc so they are resistant to leaking comparatively.
