Gunsmithing Bayonet Mounting Options

Wondering if an M9 bayonet will fit over this...If it will i will replace the gas block with a single unit standard front sight with bayonet lug.

problem is that I'm guessing that FH is perm. attached so it would mean you'd have to remove it then replace you gas block then re-attach a new FH

Not at all... I found a gas block with bayonet lug that clamps on with allen screws... its a two piece design so i am not concerned about removing the current flashhider... Just wondering if its worth it to replace this gas block... If a bayonet wont work with the current flash hider then there is no point in putting a bayonet lug on it.

I've seen those clamp on types, I don't think I'd put a whole lot of faith in those though, just my opinion

I had a FH like that on one of my uppers and the m9 bayo did not fit over it it was just a CH to large in dia.
