I was looking at the BCM KMR-10 handguard and was wondering if anyone here has used it on a .308 AR PLATFORM.

I have tried contacting Bravo Company several times by email but no luck.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

You need a KMR barrel nut with a thread pitch and diameter that match the upper. BCM is currently only making AR-15 barrel nuts that I am aware of. Personally, I hope they decide to make a barrel nut to fit the new DPMS G2 pattern. The lightened G2 rifles combined with the KMR handguard could make for a very light and handy .308 semi-auto.

Ok. I have an M&P 10 and this handguard would be a great addition. Hope BCM gets on it quick.

I'm holding off on free float handguard to wait and see which way this goes

Most Ar10 frame guns use a different rail system. They will not match up on the same plane as an AR10 rail (which can be different depending on rail height) and do not use the same nut.

Your best bet is to buy a AR10 rail. KAC URX 3 and 4 rails are some of the nicest, and Geisslle is supposed to be coming out with a 10 rail as well. If it was my money, I would wait for the G rail to come out. Should be soon: Geissele Prototype 7.62 Rail - Page 1 - AR15.COM

EDIT: Don't Sleep on MI either. They are made in the USA, high quality and great prices. Good people to deal with and they have been at the forfront making rails and parts for newer guns like the SCAR and Tavor. I would not hesitate to run one of their FF rails on my SR-25 or MK3 .308.

You are right on with MI just took a look at there DPMS SS key mod FF.

It actually fits the M&P 10 and all that needs to be replaced is the ejection port rod to a longer one. They even sell you that rod for peanuts.

The Geissele looks nice.
