What’s the best load for the bcm mk 12 I’ve watched several videos on all sorts of ammo but some of that makes me question how competent the shooter is does anyone have the bcm and hand load?

Here is a link to a whole series of load testing to find comparable loads to duplicate the original Mk 12 Black Hill ammo.

Over the multi-part series, he tests a comprehensive array of powders & most of his results mirror my experiences with the same powders.

Other than the factory BH stuff, I've pretty much settled on 8208 as the most workable powder for my usage.

Watch & enjoy.................the series is long, but you can skim through to the results for each segment & not waste time on all his preliminary comments.

This shoots .75-1 @ 2720 out of my 18 inch Douglas Mk12Mod1.

If I remember right, the charge is Max++, so be careful.

I have 2 Mk12 Douglas barreled rifles, and one Krieger barreled AR, and a friends Mk12 shoots this load sub moa. And the same load also will shoot Berger 77 OTM, 77 SMK and Lapua 77 Scenar-l all the same. Bergers seem to have the lowest SD's

XBR 8208 23.1 gr
BR4 primer or Fed205M
77gr Berger OTM at 1.760" CBTO

I usually use LC or Remington brass
