I have bedded an HS precision stock with an aluminum bedding block twice now. I'm trying to get zero movement of the barrel relative to the stock when loosing action screws like I get with stocks without the bedding block. Barrel movement is actually opposite of what I would think would happen, when the from screw is loosened the barrel moves towards the stock. Its not much, about .0015", but what would be causing this? Thanks

Using action screws the way I would on any other stock. There has to be something flexing in the bedding block, Ive bedded it twice and still getting slight movement. I like the idea of trying bedding a bit of the barrel as well, might help with flex of the bedding block if that's what's happening.

could very likely be that you tightened the action screws too much while bedding cures and flexing the action in the tang area. I like to use surgical tubing
