Looking to use JB weld to bed the recoil lug but has anyone done this before? I used it to bed the scope base on the same rifle, but im mostly worried about procedure and how long it should take before I unscrew the action screws holding the stock on. Also, what kind of accuracy differences have you seen? I know it wont be a giant improvement, but if I can spend less than $20 to squeeze a tiny bit of accuracy, I think that's money well spent.

Ow..my butt hurts so bad..
Not near as bad as it could have lol. Guess all the old timers took the week off.

Seriously though, you're not gonna gain much just bedding the lug. Bed the entire action to include any bottom metal you may have. Lots of videos out there. I don't know if I'd use jb, maybe Devon, marinetex or accraglass jel. Check Brownells.

If its a savage, I've always heard to float the rear tang.

Good luck

Matt
