I've been surveying the forums and I'd like to spend <$3000 for a 6.5 gasser. A local dealer has a DD5 v5 for $2400 pre-tax, but euro optic has SP10s for $2800 pre-tax but they're 6 Creedmoor and not 6.5 and I'm worried I'd shoot out the barrel before I ever got any good. What are your guys' opinions?

I like LMT. The other advantage of lmt in 6.5 is you can just buy another barrel and easily swap it out if you burn out a barrel without any sort of tools besides a torque wrench in about two minutes.

I like LMT as well. Like the AI of AR’s. You can swap barrels from a 24” 6.5 creed to a 14.5” 308 in a matter of minutes if you want to try something different or use it in a different role

LMT or Seekins. Both are great options. Can't go wrong.

Guys at my LGS set me up with a MK5HD and Scar 20S. Bit more than I wanted to spend, but got an extra barrel to with it.
What about a 6 ARC?
A small frame AR in 6mm will most definitely be easier to drive than a large frame 6.5, but still have good ballistics. It will also be cheaper than an equivalent large frame AR.
Seekins makes a model thats sub $2k. There's other options out there as well.

I too vote Seekins 6arc. So easy to shoot. Much more than large frame as stated. Also much lighter.
If you’re set on 6.5CM there’s SP10 in the PX all the time. I’d go that route.
