I’ve got a new KRG X-ray chassis in the mail for my Remington 700 SPS in .308. I thought since I was upgrading the stock I should go ahead and upgrade to a Timney 510 trigger. I want to do all the work myself, but it is the first time I’ve ever done this kind of work. I was hoping that I could get some tips and hints to help me through this process. Thanks for any help you guys can offer.

There's probably a video online that would show you how the trigger comes out. Otherwise, take some pictures of the old trigger on the action, then tap out the two pins. It seems like you have to remove one pin before the other to make some room to remove the other pin. Seems like a part comes out with one pin that allows the other pin to be removed.

Here's one video:

I installed the Timney, wish I had done it sooner. Then i dropped my Remington into the X-ray chassis. I had to file a little room so the safety would work. it is the first time I had done any rifle upgrades and I'm happy with the outcome. Completed picture. DSC_0036.jpg
