Bell & Carlson Remington 700 Target/ Comp Stock Any Good?

I had one for a Savage a few years ago. For the price it was a really nice stock. It had a stiff forend, no flex. The bedding block fit well. I am actually looking at the same one you are for my new origin build, so I was impressed enough to reconsider it.

I have been running one on my race gun for 2 years, impact action, 26” M24 barrel, Hawkins DBM.
The balance on it is slightly forward. It has stood up to some very hard use.
I like it, enough that I haven’t replaced it. I have small hands and the palm swell is just right and the distance from grip to trigger is shorter than other stocks. (Comparable to manners, maybe just a little shorter) we did have to modify it (really open up the barrel channel) to fit a Krueger #17 heavy varmint. That caused a little bit of deflection under heavy load, but not enough to touch the barrel. It has been modified now. It is bedded 2 couch cups added, and an area 419 rail added. (This has stopped 99% of that soft fore end feel)
All in all absolutely worth what they are charging, but there are more ergonomic and feature rich stocks out there.

I've had these same stocks on rifles from 22RF up to 7mm-08 Improved 30*, never had a problem with them. I've also got similar stocks from McMillan & Manners, so I have a good deal of experience with big-name stocks that cost about 3x as much as the B&C. One of the things I really like about the B&C is not having to wait 9-12 months on one...
