Grab some sandpaper and a small can of epoxy resin and hardener. It will probably take a belt sander and or a palm sander with some aggressive grit paper. There will be some air bubbles exposed that will need to be filled with resin and re sanded. You will obviously need to re finish it when you are done with your paint of choice. There are several threads about this process.

There are many video's on Youtube that will get you the results you need. Try google or youtube and put in how to do body work, or body filler step by step process. Something to that nature will give you a head start. PM me and I will give you my number and we can talk. I can walk you thru it if need be. Thanks Tommy

Use a round over or straight cut router bit with a bearing. That way you won't cut into the stock to deep. Go to a local body shop supply and buy upol Fibral. It's fiberglass repair that mixes like bondo and sands easy. Easy way to cover up the repair once sanded. Is to texture the grip area with marine tex. The above stock was a B&C varmint before I did the mods to it. Added a butt hook to.

Used green 3m tape and a razor blade to cut my patterns out. I think I applied the tan then black then green. Paint the stock tan tape the areas you want to stay tan and cut the pattern you want.Leave the the taped pattern on. Then paint it black. Do the same cut and leave the taped pattern on. Then finish up with the green. Untape and there you go. It's not hard just time consuming.

In what way is the stock "to wide"? If it's because a Harris bipod won't fit a wide flat forearm, there is a Harris bipod adapter made specifically for this situation.
