Hey guys, I have a Bell & Carlson Medalist Tactical A5 Stock (Fully Adjustable). The stock has been on my gun for about a Month, works great and the rifle is very accurate. I had to open up the Barrel Channel when I first got it cause it was too tight to free float my Heavy Barrel. Today when I was at the Range I was loading up the Gears and the Rifle fell over and bumped on a chair on it's side and it cracked the Stock where the bump was. Now it is by no means a Hard Fall or Abuse as there's no chips or paint missing. Just a Crack in the Stock.
My question is, I have the warranty card that came with the Stock that states it has a Limited Life warranty, but it also states that the stock is only covered without any modifications. But now that I've drimeled the Barrel Channel, I'm afraid I might've ruined the warranty on the stock. Has anyone ever had to deal with the B&C customer service or warranty issues? Is this something they'll use against me?
On the warranty/instruction card it also says that the stock is made for factory contoured barrels and modifications are need for heavier barrels. So I don't know if doing this on the Stock will void the warranty. I plan on calling them Monday but just want to do some home work first. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!
