Has any one been able to get this powder to work in a 6 br?
I tried a few loads and have had no success with it..I wish I
could get it to work.My sons home town shop has lots of it on hand.
Thanks..John

I haven't ran in 6br, but it works very well in 243. I had high and low nodes that were both sub-moa out to 300. Didn't test further than that. Seems it was hot on the barrel though. was a varget replacement because I had some to play with.

It's an exceptionally good powder in 223s when used with mid-weight range bullets, 50-52-55 grains. Outstanding accuracy and very decent velocity at reasonable pressure levels. That, and H322 were my two standard accuracy test powders for daily QC for many, many years.

Haven't tried it in a 6mmBR, but I'm sure it would work. I think it'll probably be a bit fast for optimum results, but it should work nonetheless.

Used benchmark with 66 gr barts in my br. It shot pretty good, ended up using re10x in the end. Shoot a bunch of benchmark under52-53 gr 223. Prefer h4895 in my br with 105 hybrids, gets me 2910 in a 26" barrel.

I'm getting ready to start shooting 600-yard IBS benchrest matches using a 6BR. The benchrest shooters with whom I spoke said Varget was the go-to powder for 105-grain bullets. I have some of that kicking around, so will start with it.

I have been using TAC under an 87-grain V-Max for prairie rats. At the range, three 5-shot groups at 425 yards each measured less than 2 inches.

Cheers,
Richard
