Benefits of Cerakote on top of stainless?

Hey Y’all. I’m in the market for a new Tikka CTR and am trying to decide between blued or stainless. Ultimately, the action and barrel will be cerakoted at some point. So my question is this... are there any inherent benefits of having a stainless barrel coated vs having a blued barrel coated? I understand stainless is more durable that blueing, but does that become a moot point once you’ve coated said material? Or are there additional advantages i’m Unaware of? Thanks!

Yeah it will prevent rust on the non-stainless steel, and it will change the color of both. That's about it.

Might make them run a little gummy until they break in either way.

I don't know whether it's true, or not? But I've always heard that stainless barrels are inherently more accurate
They are referring to the interior of the barrel as opposed to the exterior. On the AR platform and/or other semi-auto rifles, you see chrome-lined barrels that are designed to “Mil-Spec”. They are chrome lined to handle increased rates of fire, higher temperatures, and improve barrel life under those conditions. That being said, the thickness and uniformity of the chrome application, in addition to the finishing process afterwards all effect accuracy.

So the higher cost benefits of stainless are negated once it’s coated basically. That’s what I figured, but thought I’d double check on here if there wasn’t some additional benefit to stainless that I wasn’t aware of, other that corrosion resistant (when uncoated). And the appeal to some folks of course
