Bergara b14r long range ammo choice 22lr

Buy a tuner & a case of either ammo. Tune it at 200 yards. Either will work. I have been shooting SK Long Range but I am done with my case and going back to SK Rifle Match.

I found SK Long Range to be temperature sensitive above 65*. I would get lots of velocity in the 1090-1120. I know a 30ES is horrible and it shows at distance. I fine the Rifle Match to no do that as bad.

30 ES isn't bad... 45 ES is bad. Long Range Match for me has always been inconsistent out of my Vudoo - this was at 48 degrees.

Mine shoots SK match and LR match the best. I haven’t had luck with it liking any of the 9 lots of Tenex/Match that I have on hand.

Of the LR match, I have 3 lots that the B14r shoots better than my other rifles, so that’s what it’ll be fed till I run out. I may spin a barrel up for it at that point

Center-x seems to be the go-to.

Mine likes the pistol match special and long range match. Doesn't like the slower rifle match or standard+. Also doesn't like the high velocity match.
That said, my b14r will do .25-.4" at 50 with ammo it likes, and .5-.75" with stuff it doesn't like so much.

I keep using lrm in matches because it does very well for me out to 400, and I can't find center-x locally.

The more I read the responses, the more I agree with this.
I had a gorgeous day when I tested ammo, and I had over 12 kinds to sort through. I had 3-4 samples, that were extremely tight at 50 yards, that looked like a shotgun pattern at 300. Ely Match, and Tenex, along with Lapua Midas crapped out at distance but did great at 50. Center X was mid pack at both distances.
CCI SV and SK Standard Plus were the survivors. SK Rifle Match(red) wasn't bad.
After I was able to secure some, I tested SK Long Range and SK HV Match, both were disappointments.

I would actually buy some samples and test, as you can see we all run something different and buying ammo in quantities that doesn't shoot well is rather foolish.

Tested mine yesterday with SK LR match. Fired 50 rounds through the gun. I got more consistent as he shooting went on. I reused some targets that had shots by them already. All 5 shot groups inside the caliper. The only 5 fired for that group. 50 yards. I’m trying to decide if this is good or not
