Hunting & Fishing Berger 155.5 Fullbore on game?

Curious as to terminal effects of this bullet. I've used hunting VLD's for a while, but want to start loading this bullet in a 308 AR. I know they're target jacketed, but the difference between target and hunting jackets with Berger is only 0.001".

Obviously it's a bullet and wil kill game, but any experiences shared would be appreciated.

Shot 1 deer with that bullet. Mature white tail about 175# live weight. Quartering away at 225 yards. Shot entered at last rib and exited off side shoulder. Bullet held together until it reached the offside shoulder. At that point it completely fragmented. The largest recovered portion was found in the front base of the neck.

That bullet has a super long hollow profile..just don't see it holding together. I definetly wouldn't consider that bullet for hunting.

The description I posted above was why I didn't use it again. I do however continue to use the regular VLD.

Thanks for the info, you consider it more fragile than the hunting jacket VLD then? Most deer here in TX where I hunt are small, under 150 lbs.
