I d say yes 5 deer one season 4 over 500 ,1 at 470 mine,shot placement is the key it is called hunting not wounding .Not sure about elephants rhinos Or hippos but North American species yes.

I've seen a lot of threads on the Berger 130 & 140 hunting VLD's but not a lot on the 140 Hybrid's. I guess I need to sharpen my search skills

140 hybrids(6.5) have gotten a bad rap for pin holing, it seems that with the thicker target jacket you have to have a larger met plat to ensure expansion. I have personally taken several species with a 180 (7mm) hybrid out of my 7mm Dakota and have found it to be an excellent killer on everything up to and including elk

I have used the 140 hybrids out of my 6.5 Saum on deer this passed season and they performed flawlessly.
