Suppressors Best .22lr suppressor

i got like 6 22 lr cans .... the TBAC for sure, the Dead Air Mask is up there ... Sico nice but their black oxide finish isnt great (their CS is great) - TBAC and Mask is cerakote you can get re coated when worn.

Nobody for Liberty, huh? Not a fan of their bigger cans but their .22 cans are some of the best made, you guys have got to give 'em a chance on this. The Regulator is actually better than most integral setups and is so quiet with 1cc water there is NO FRP and the action is louder than the shot itself. Quieter than an air rifle I'm told over and again. The Essence was one of the best and lightest until the Regulator came out, which is just about the perfect .22 can. They'll both handle up to FN 5.7mm and both use monocores which are easy to clean and work very well.

FWIW, I'm gonna have my Essence modded into a Regulator one day.

I like TBAC and Sico for most everything else but when it comes to .22's Liberty has always impressed me.

I have the Apex-s on my S&W M&P.22 and I love the combo, probably my favorite gun, plenty quite. Also I like the monocore design for easy cleaning. Take it apart and throw it in the stainless tumbler, easy. I shoot subsonics and could easily shoot it in my backyard without the neighbors compaining.

Are you certain about the Regulator handling the 5.7? I was told by Liberty that it is not rated for it, unlike the Essence.

My first & so far only 22RF suppressor is a SWR Spectre II, which I've shot extensively on a couple of 40X repeaters. We're shooting some very small targets in 22RF PR matches, so I'd be pretty disappointed if the Spectre had any negative effect on accuracy. No issues on either of those two rifles, and it's very quiet with std vel match ammo. It'll have to do for another 11-12 months, until the stamp for my TBAC 22 Takedown gets here....looking forward to comparing the two.

I could be wrong but I think I recall them saying it was good for 5.7. The Essence definitely is, and so is the Kodiak --since the Regulator isn't much different from the Kodiak with steel core and titanium tube, I'd imagine Regulator would have similar ratings. The Regulator's core is monocore too, it just has larger chambers compared to Essence. I suppose if you plan on firing 5.7, you should call the mfg. and confirm it'll work with that to be on the safe side. FWIW, you can convert an Essence to a Regulator (I plan on this upgrade along with TBAC's Ultra/30CB9 upgrade option) but I don't know if that changes caliber options. Good question.

For .22, the Regulator is practically unbeatable. When it's to the point that action noise dictates what it goes on, you know you have fine suppression. If you plan on using this on a 10/22 or noisier action, perhaps the Regulator won't make as much difference, but with a PPK/S there is a marked difference in sound and it's all in the action. Especially with 1cc water.

I suppose I would like ONE other .22 can --that Sico .22 mini, don't know what they call it but on a Berretta 21 it still fits easily in the pocket. What, 3"? Wonder how well it works.

I have limited experience with 22LR cans, but I couldn't imagine something easier to clean or quieter then my sparrow.

The at-one-time SWR produced Spectre II is quieter than the Sparrow. As far as cleaning, the Sparrow can get the half-sleeves stuck to the outer can and the Specter often gets its baffles stuck together; my friend prefers cleaning his Sparrow to my Spectre.

Just ordered a Q El Camino yesterday. I did a fair amount of research before purchasing and I feel like it offers a really good balance of ease of maintenance, light weight and sound suppression. With slightly over half of the can being tucked in the handguard, not having a rear end cap to worry about coming loose is also a plus. Now the wait begins.

Might be far out there for you guys looking to buy one but the "quietest" .22 suppressor I have ever seen in person was a form 1 wet suppressor that a Fish and game friend made. It was 3" in length maybe 3/4" diameter. He made a key fob to screw into it and carried it in his pocket all the time. he used a squirt of aloe Vera gel...LOL. Like the sunburn green goo from Walgreens. Without the goo it was nice, with it the thing was, forgive the term... Movie quiet. The impact of the bullet was louder than the report. It was ridiculous. He built it himself and used it on duty to take out problem critters in neighborhoods. The combination of the suppressor and a cool little beretta, I forget the model but I'm pretty sure it was a bobcat. Palm of your hand concealed the whole affair.

Well yeah, you make most .22 cans wet with subs and it'll be damn quiet. That's what I was saying about the Liberty Regulator, with 1cc water it has practically zero FRP and the action is the loudest part of shooting, so with the Regulator, the most important part of the system and what determines the noise is actually the host. That's the quietest I've heard to date. I shot an integral Mk2 in the 90's that actually used old school tech baffles, H&S? and it was pretty quiet. These are all 6" cans.

For a shorty, Sico makes the only one I'd be interested in, my dealer has one and it LOOKS badass, but I've never heard it. I've never been let down by Sico though, so if the numbers on it look good enough, I'd get it. If it's not quiet enough, I'd get something else.

I like what the fellow said above, "it'd be hard to buy a bad .22 can in 2017". That's pretty much true.

Have been very successful running my sparrow with wire pulling gel... one of the quietest I have shot through. Have also shot the TBAC and that’s a good choice. No FRP with the gel and it lasts a bit longer than water. Can get a little gunked up after a few hundred rounds but damn it’s quiet... worth the extra cleaning

I have a Tactical Innovations Tac 65 and Surefire Ryder. I really love the Surefire can. It is super light and quiet. Currently, I am using the Ryder on my CZ 455 and the Tac 65 on a Sig Mosquito.
