Rifle Scopes Best 300 BLK Rifle Scope Reticle

Any thoughts on who has the best 300 BLK reticle? Seems to me from looking at a few that Primary Arms Slx6 with its chevron tipped reticle is well received by the public at a fairly decent price. Looking to put one atop a 16" barreled AR for deer and coyote hunting. There is also the Vortex Strike Eagle in two zoom ranges.

Of the two, the PA reticle is a little less obstrusive. But, as with any BDC, you'll want to verify the velocities and trajectories of the cartridge against your own, especially with a cartridge as diverse as 300blk. Read the manual and see which one lines up with your drop values better.

To be honest, there is such a significant amount of variation with 300Blackout loads and trajectories that I tend to just use a mrad-based reticle with those instead of a BDC.

Consider Hawke Frontier 1-6x24.

Also Bushnell SMRS is an interesting option.

I bought a Rapid Reticle scope for the 300 Blackout and could not be happier. It has subtensions for both supersonic and subsonic. It is made in Japan and is FFP. The illumination is red, green and blue. It is 1-4 and works great.

Their current RR Evolution scopes are, I think, made in China. Good scopes overall, I think. The reticle as I recall, worked well for 125gr supersonic and 220gr subsonic.

Yep, 100% agree with a standard mil over a BDC. I prefer the segmented circle mil reticle in the Trijicon. I built this 10.5" for deer and it might just be my favorite pistol...

Not sure if mine is an older one, I bought it on the used market, but it says on the scope itself made in Japan. It doesn't feel like a typical Chinese scope either.

It is an older scope then. When they first started out their scopes were from Japan. All the recent stuff is from China. I do not think they bring in Japanese made ones any more.

Yours is probably the CQLR.

I tested that scope a long time when GRSC was using it. That was their "Korean CRS", but then Bushnell bought up the whole production line. It is a very respectable scope for the money (if Bushnell did not make any changes). Reticles are a little weak, but serviceable.

Yes, Trij is always nice. Especially if they are self illuminating and not a green reticle, which doesn't show up well in forest and so forth. Amber is the best color where I hunt.

Im running a gen 1 pst on my 300blk sbr and its moa but has the segmented circle as well as a full reticle in moa hashes and a center dot... im drawing a blank on the name of the actual reticle. I used to dial my shots with it but now i dont dial at all. The reticle has plenty of elevation in it to get me out as far as i want to shoot it... have it out to 600 yards regularly and there is just enough oomph behind that 110gr vmax to hear the ping on steel. With my 8” barrel and tbac ultra 7 its a fun gun to play aroumd with and works just fine on deer and coyotes too.

I like the simplicity of this reticle and the price but I'm guessing it doesn't have enough aiming points. I have a variety of 300 BLK and will likely start pressing my own and more aiming points might be handy. The Strike Eagle is definitely an option in place of the PST.

Although the gen 1 pst was plagued with some problems and is still not a top tier scope, i would put it above the strike eagle in all aspects of performance except for the pst is 1-4 and the strike eagle is 1-8... just my thoughts. Sometimes less magnification is needed with better glass quality.

If someone comes into the store to see a product and it is not on display (we do not have every product open and out) and we open a new one up and it is handled we do not put that back into new inventory as we feel new means brand new. Where is that Bushnell with the three dot 300BLK reticle made? Is it made in Korea like the earlier versions of the same model? If so, I think it is very well made. I happen to think that that reticle is the fastest of all we have looked at, the most intuitive.
