I use federal brass, federal 215 primer, sierra gameking 200gr sbt and vihtavori n165 powder. Getting 2900 fps avg and 1/2 moa @ 100 with my factory remmy 700. Great deer and elk rounds.
Win brass, Federal 210M primers, 200 Accubond, Re22 (72.4gr? Need to look up). 2960fps. The elk over my front door didn't take to it kindly. He seemed to think he was pretty safe at ~680 yds.
You'll get many recs on this one. For me personally I love r22 for accuracy w/ 210 vld and 208 amax. But temp stability sucks. So for hunting I run 76.2 h1000 with a 210 Berger. 2860fps. Lose a bit of accuracy but I can rely on it not dramatically losing fps. So r22 for accuracy , but h1000 for reliability. Just my experience. A lot of good combos out there
If you have issues like I experienced softness of the primer might be a factor. I started with Fed215 but my Rem700 flattened them flush regardless of charge weights. I ended up switching to CCI250's and no longer have this issue.
But the Federal's functioned just fine. I just wasn't fond of the flattening.
I like Lapua brass the best but also like Nosler and Remington brass. Winchester had occasional groups that were outstanding but the consistency just wasn't there. Powder for mine was H4831SC and RL22. Primers were Fed 215 and bullets were everything 190 to 200 grains. Accuracy averaged in the .58's to .67's with the occasional .2's and .3's out of my custom Weatherby Mk. V.
