I did do a search. I run Seekins (or vortex), Hawkins, even have a Sphur. Just picked up a Vortex SE for another 22LR I have and I am wondering if there are any other "budget" 34mm low rings I'm not thinking of. Warne, Burris? I have looked through the PX (I don't think it's called that anymore). Thanks.

Check out utg pro. Burris signature with plastic insert are good. Then the obvious vortex pmr, American rifle, erc
Can’t go wrong with Hawkins or the seekins, I personally run both and they are awesome for the price point
Well the Seekins can be had for $139, wondering if there are any decent quality options for less?

Lol, is $200 a budget scope mount? And do they have the screws on top or bottom because the pictures are contradictory.
The UTG pro rings are about the toughest budget rings I have found. They are American made and tough as hell. I would never guess they are $50 rings or made by UTG. XLR sells the same exact rings with their logo on it for $80. The only problem is the lowest 34mm rings they make are 1.25” to center.
I’ve had $60 mounts and $200 mounts and there is a big difference. I’ve not used these just repeating what my LGS told me when we were discussing rings. And the word budget is all circumstantial, no two people have the same budget and OP didn’t list a max price. It’s 1/2 the price of a SPUHR, which is about as expensive as they get. To be honest, I’d get a SPUHR in the PX in the $250 range.
that’s why I mentioned the height. I wish they would make them in a 1” height. If they did those would probably be the only rings I ever buy. I like them as much as my badger ordnance rings.
But, I did list the rings I currently have, l guess I could have listed the prices along with them. The Seekins are the best rings for the money that I know of for $140. Was wondering if there was anything for less of decent quality.

My apologies as I’ve never used those rings and didn’t know the prices. I’m not rich or anything, most of what I buy I buy high quality gently used for a fraction of the price. I don’t mind a gun build taking a year

I know everyone says the utg pro and xlr are the same. I have pairs of both and have had fitment issues with the utg rings and never any problem
With the xlr. Certain scopes in 30mm would pinch on the top edges of the bottom ring. The scopes wouldn't roll freely side to side in some of the

I don't know how they are made but it seems like the "hoop" where the scope sits isn't cut exactly in halves.

I use burris XTR Signature. Inexpensive, solid, and custom MOA cant 0-40moa.

Why are you cheaping out on the rings? Seekins makes solid rings, nothing wrong with them for that price. Keep checking the PX, both Optics and Accessories sub forums, as folks list rings in both places.
What rifle and caliber? what scope is going to be placed in these rings?
In the original post I said the rings are for a spare 22lr I just picked up a Vortex SE for. As I said in the original post I own Seekins, Hawkins and Sphur, but this is for a back-up/loaner 22, and I’m a bit more “pinched for pennies” theses days so I’m asking if there are any less expensive options.
I’ve searched the PX (optics for sale) nothing currently but things change by the minute.
I have to agree that US made UTG Pro rings are surprisingly nicely made given the low price. I recently picked up a pair and I really like what I am seeing. I do have a few pairs of Burris XTR Signature rings and like them a lot as well.

I have the Burris XTR Signature but had trouble getting them dialed in. Seemed they wouldn't self-align on the pic rail when tightening, and could be left-right by 10" @ 100 yds. Had to hold the scope straight while tightening, fire a round, loosen, tweak, re-tighten. They are solid once tight, but I wanted to use the scope on multiple rifles, which would be impossible with that issue. Spoke with Burris about it, but they claimed they had never heard of that issue before.
We sell a fair amount of the Warne 7220M 34mm Precision Scope Rings - Low which are made in the USA and we get good feedback on them

If you by a cheap set of rings that's exactly what you get a cheap set of rings! if your scope cost more than a couple hundred bucks I would not use $50.00 cheap ass rings, I think Seekins are the best for the price, if you get a better scope you will have a decent set of rings.
I have some seekins 34mm low rings (4/6 screw) I've been meaning to sell. Like new. PM if interested.
I just picked up a set of Swampfox rings in an attempt to explore less expensive options along with UTG Pro. They are surprisingly decent.

I just noticed that Athlon is making rings now as well. I haven’t had a chance to het my hands on any yet But I would guess they are probably decent rings.
Better plan on waiting around for a year and randomly seeing the cheapest one for sale in the PX or annoying everyone with your low balls.
FWIW, usually they are worth 300-325 used.
I've bought 30 and 34mm Seekins rings from the PX. I paid $85 for the 30mm set and $95 for the 34mm set. All I did on both different ocassions was post a WTB thread. The 30mm came to me just 6 minutes after making the thread while the 34s found their way to me within a day.

So let me get this straight...
You wanted to buy cheap rings, then you did. Now because you bought cheap rings, you need to buy lapping equipment?
I would just return them and buy some APA rings. Seriously, if now you're having to buy lapping equipment, you bought shit rings and you might as well have just spent all that money on quality rings...
As long as you have a quality base, you won't need a lap bar. I haven't lapped a set of rings in almost 20 years. Quality rings and high-tolerance machining, and a high quality base, you won't need to lap anything. That's why I use EGW bases and Seekins rings. It's a proven setup for me for over a decade. And these Arken rings on an EGW base are just as good machining and fitment. Try them first before lapping, and as long as you have a good base, you should be fine.
Personally the rings and mount are one area I’m not gonna skimp on as they marry sight to bore. If you ever see high speed footage of heavy kick’n rifles, it’s amazing how much flexing is going on. This is also why I choose the lowest assembly possible, less material to flex.
Currently using MPA BA unitized assembly’s, but there are less expensive options, I just don’t know the quality.
