Speaking of wasting time, I re-read this work of fiction again. So entertaining!

Top notch, up-to-date work right there!including the hot new .40 S&W.
May I ask why you would choose 124 over 147?I've settled on 124 grain standard pressure HST. Any decent places to buy 50 or 100?
Thanks!
The xmacro has a comp, so the +p probably won't be much more recoil than the standard pressure - hotter loads get more of a recoil reduction.Your money. Get what you like. We are just here putting stuff on the table, so please don't think I'm pushing a specific anything.
I do not work for Federal, ATK, any bullet company.
The Lucky Gunner test is awesome.
Shoot the Bull on Youtube is a fun watch too.
THE subject matter expert on the topic of terminal bullet effectiveness is Doc GKR
One of the aspects that people don't usually take into a account is how well a round feeds. I personally prefer a more rounded ogive (nose of bullet) as I started with 1911s that had a more dramatic feeding angle than many of the striker fired guns of today. One of the reasons why full round nosed ball ammo feeds more reliably than hollowpoints. You have to function test in YOUR guns from YOUR (limp) two and one handed grip to know how it will work for you.
I love that the AR15 feeds a sharp nosed bullet into a very big hole from an almost straight angle. Even the cheapie ARs tend to feed reliably.
In the end, the Tier 1 hollowpoints are all going to work well enough; it's shot placement that counts the most (after reliability of course)
this list is old, but I trust it implicitly; the 124 +p is on the list as is the 147 HST
