To all you 9mm AR owners:

I have a few KAC lowers I built, plan on Form 1'ing a couple, and one of them is gonna be for a dedicated suppressed 9mm. I hope. I'd like to use Glock mags but if it's not possible to do that with a good conversion I'm open. I know a dedicated lower is probably best but I've got four lowers I've been sitting on and I'm not buying another AR lower ever again, so if there isn't a conversion at least as good as a dedicated rifle, I can always do a .338 Whisper instead and use the same can. No big deal.

I want it to be reliable, I don't wanna be fucking with it. At all. I don't plan on depending on it but if I do I don't want it to be a problem. I'll probably use a 6" bbl. and a Liberty Mystic X inside a PRI carbon fiber tube. I'd prefer a dedicated pistol upper with 9mm deflector and ejection port.

If JP makes a full mass BCG for 9mm, I'd like to use that. Otherwise I'm open, I understand there is a difference and I've heard about "Glock" bolts. I've heard about pistol hammers. I have various Gessele triggers in these lowers and prefer to use a single stage here but I can change one out if I have to.

School me up on this shit. I want a good one, don't mind saving for it if I have to but I don't wanna spend a fortune on this either.

Ive built 3 9mm PCCs. Have thousands of rounds through two of them, 1 colt, 1 glock. Not one problem! Relied heavily on advice and components from Macon Armory. Barrel ,bolt and buffer in all three from Macon. Take a look at the Hiperfire 24C trigger, preforms flawless with the blowback design. Give Rudy a call at Macon Armory, he forgot more about PCCs than most people know. He’s an all around good fellow.

Dollar for Dollar the Tork G-block works and works very good! I've built 5 with them and with over 7k rounds and counting, 100% feed reliability! Next up is Mean Arms which is an insert that slides into a Pmag. I would say it's about 90% feed reliable. Never used personally but have heard good things is the Stern defense magwell insert. The biggest problem with running these PCC and glock mags is the feed angle (even dedicated) is off. Also not having a feed ramp of sorts, compound with hard blowback causes issues !

Also don't worry about the deflector, as several companies now make larger diameter ejection port uppers. As for BCG, JP is nice but very pricey for what it is. If you search around you'll see the JP design has been copied and you can pick up 1 of those for a little bit less then half of the JP.

My formula for running a PCC reliably:

    Tork G-block
    10 oz dedicated 9 buffer
    308 buffer spring

Runs like a fine Swiss watch...

Nice. I have a SBR lower and thought all the conversion options were dead at this point. I need something to attach my rugged suppressor to and have fun in uspsa pcc division too
