Gunsmithing Best action bedding compound for aluminum chassis?

Same as what works on fiberglass, wood, composites...
I don't think there's a need to get into the Devcon vs. Marine Tex vs. JB vs.... do a search, it's been covered ad nauseum.
Marine Tex apparently does have lowest shrinkage over time according to this article.

I chose a different path years ago. Instead of bedding, I bore a hole for a 1/2-28 thread at the rear guard screw on the action side. Next, thread a stick of brass for the same pitch and screw it down tight. Now you have a tree stump sticking out of the stock. Mill it down close to the tangent point on the tang with a flat endmill.

Next, either surface it with a cnc or use a ground form tool with an appropriate radius. We just whisker pass it until it makes tangent contact along the entire length of the receiver. Proofing this is easy. Just install the action and begin to tighten the rear guard screw and check parallelism along the action's length in the machine.

I realize its not a means within everyone's reach, but its a whole lot cleaner, simpler, and robust than a gob of "magic whatever" lumped into the ass of a chassis stock.

I recently tested a rifle setup, and found no detectable change in accuracy with bedding a good stock or chasis.
I really wanted to see a difference, with all the work, but the truth is, it doesn't help most setups that much.
However, I do like JB weld steel weld, for it's strength and durability.
