You can probably find a SP10 floating around on Gunbroker or on here. They also distribute their rifles to distributors and some stores could have them in stock.

Also look at LMT or you could even have some of the known builders build you up at solid upper and it wouldn’t be just any Frankenstein parts guns.

How much are those LMT mws in 6.5 though lol

Check cabelas for Seekins too. I have one and I like it. It took me some learning to figure it out because I didn’t start as an AR guy. Find a Seekins coupon and you may get it a whole lot cheaper.

Pick up one those last few Mega Maten reciever sets that became available. Then throw a Krieger barrel, a JP BCG, and a Geissele National Match DMR in it. You'll have a gun that will shoot circles around a KAC is better in every possible way than a Seekins and will outperform a JP on demand.

I’d recommend building one. I built mine, 22” Ballistic advantage flutted barrel on Aero receivers, easily shoots sub MOA with good Hornady ammo.

Get the parts on sales and from the PX here and you can build a heck of a rifle cheap.

Total cost of the rifle was between $1,600-$1,700 for mine and the barrel, BCG etc were brand new.

Build will give best price/performance for sure. You can even pay someone like CLE or MSTN to build for you and end up way ahead of factory rifles in this bracket.

Check out Rock River Arms. I'm liking mine and been out to 800 with it (I'd go further when I can find a place) using Hornady American Gunner 140 HPBT. Should bring you in about $1000 under budget. Here is my zero target-

there is one for sale on calguns. might also be listed elsewhere. $2500 unfired.
not sure if i am allowed to link....

Make: Seekins Precision

Model: SP10

Caliber: 6.5 Creedmoor

Location (city or county): San Diego

Price: $2500

Will ship (Y/N): I will consider it at buyers expense

Other info: this is a new, unfired rifle. Never mounted glass I have had it for a few years, but I ended up shooting a different gun. It is featureless with a fin-style grip. Comes with one 10round magazine.

Get the 22 inch and you can always cut it shorter if you don’t like it. You can also get deep cuts on a long barrel and take off a lot of weight..//..//I’d be looking at GAP10 which is a CA lower/upper sprvedspec’d by GAP....orWilson Combat...

PWS makes a 6.5 with a 20" Bartlein barrel. My 14yr old daughter can shoot the daylights out of that rig. It's certainly under $3k

There are alot of good options as have been mentioned.

For pure accuracy, I would probably place an Order for a GAP.
For Turn Key Accuracy, Its really hard to beat a JP

I personally really like LMT, its modular so you can set it up to you liking. I've had, Noveske, LW, and Krieger, barreled 308 Gas guns and honestly i am really impressed with the accuracy of the LMT 6.5 barrel

6.5 top
308 bottom

I got the LMT Texas Predator Edition in 6.5 CM for $2400. Basically the same thing as the 3k rifle on their website except with a Titanium Grey Cerakote job on the receiver and a Texas flag on the magwell. If you can live with that it's a killer deal.

Great advice if you want proprietary mags (hard no) and a rifle that's built by guys who can't build a milspec BCG.

Fuck RRA.

Get a LMT and thank me later.

Great info, I purchased a 6.5 CM Odin works upper and looking to mate it to a lower now, then go to 1000 yards with it.

RRA is well built.. Shoots straight. Are there better rifles in an AR-10 ? Yes. More expensive as well. RRA's proprietary mags are 25 bucks apiece. How many do you need? Their BCG is longer than others, but, I have not seen the US mil-specs on the AR-10 platforms. RRA can build to a standard but chose to go with the 'proprietary thing' (which I think is to their detriment- their proprietary bbl nut for one example). But then the main issue with the AR-10 platform is that: 'parts interchangibility thing'.

I mentioned the RRA as another choice to consider. That's all. I bought mine three(?) years ago and had a lot of fun with it and it's been working. "Fuck RRA", I think is a little harsh.

RRA makes a solid Rifle and is perfect for someone who wants precision on a budget. When first-time shooters ask me for recommendations on a Semi Auto RRA is always in my top three....

BUT!! For the same price they are asking for their 6.5CM you can pick up a Seekins SP10 6.5CM that is better then the RRA in every aspect.

If seekins would wise up and start selling the 6.5CM with a +2 gas system and maybe a second Handguard option it would truly be the best semi-auto on the market under $2500.

Totally agree Bigjake. I got my RRA for 1040 and a short while later they stopped selling them at that price and now are up around 2K. Seekins IMO would be the better rifle, up in that price range. But at what I paid for my RRA, I am plenty happy. Nice trigger and sub MOA and no issues with its function. lg

I think I may have mentioned it above but I do have a Seekins SP-10. Like others have said, I think it’s great for the money. Find a coupon like I did and it makes it way better. I really like the fully ambidextrous controls on the rifle except the charging handle. You can lock/unlock the rifle with your right hand and not take it off the grip. It’s a truly ambidextrous rifle. I have two gripes with the gun: the charging handle and the grip but those are my preferences. The flat bottom foreend is nice too.
