Best bolt lube for PRS

I hang my barrels vertically and plug them. Fill with clr for an hour or two. Patch out and brush. Then fill with boretech copper remover. Patch out and brush.

Chamber and barrel comes out looking almost new and hardly any work. Most of it is soak time while doing other things.

Yep. But don’t use it on non stainless items. It can etch carbon steel (tool steel and such).

Funnily enough, I've always used anti-seize and/or white lithium grease on the lugs.

For the pistols I use Mobil 1 motorcycle oil (20w50 iirc) and have a old Visene bottle of it in my range bag. For the rifles bolt and semi, I use ALG (Geissele) Go Juice and 0000 grease. I used it last winter through deer season and it never got gummy and stayed slicker than snot. I didn't have any issues through the summer with it running all over...

Sorry to further complication however, on Brownells they advocate oil and specifically not grease for the locking lugs

Interestingly, they do sell both bolt grease as well as fluid bolt lubricants

I just purchased a Kelbly F class Panda and it came with a syringe of grease to use on the lugs. Could have something to do with the steel bolt head riding on the aluminum ways. I have used grease and oil in the past on my bolt guns. I'm not sure yet what works best.

ofelas, that's the rule I've always used! My lube of choice is Lubriplate, grease and oil.

I have a similar Rem 700 bolt tool to the one used in the video, and I purchased it either from Brownells or Midway. They're a common item.

I use a thin coating of Slip2000 EWL 30 on the bolt/raceways with my finger and then follow up with a tiny dab of Slip2000 EWG grease on the back of the bolt lugs. I've never really tried anything else. But using this combo for years and I have no problems.

One thing I just found out is not to use CLP on anything nitrided as it affects the finish. Anybody confirm?

I think you're mixing up CLP and CLR.....CLR will mess up nitride. From AREA 419:
"NOTE: The use of Lemishine (or any citric-acid cleaner) or CLR to clean your brake will likely discolor the black nitride, and will void the lifetime warranty of your product. Don’t do this. Seriously. It’ll turn pink and you’ll feel like an idiot."

I think CLP is just fine.

High shear strength, picks up particulates like carbon, high temp resistance due to synthetic nature of the oil, cheap, what's not to like?
