I searched & Read. Now, I'll ask.

What, in your opnion, is the best brake on the market for a 308, and why. Assume that cost is not an issue.

Thanks.

Re: Best Brake for .308

Not sure you can say it is the best but I have a Badger FTE on mine and like it. Not that a .308 really needs one but I had it threaded for a suppressor and figured I'd go with a removable brake. Plus it looks cool !

I love it when people ask "what is the best...?". If there was a consensus, you would think everyone would be running the same thing. But we don't.

I have a Holland Quick Discharge brake on my son's hunting stick(.308) It's very effective, doesn't harm accuracy and as light as it is, feels like a .223.

Re: Best Brake for .308

My Tubb brake kicks alot less than my Shark suppressor, I have also shot a 260 with a FTE on it, both rifles about the same wieght, my 308 still has less recoil, FTE is tacticlycool, but the Tubb brake flat out kicks it's ass.
