Best Brake for .308

I searched & Read. Now, I'll ask.

What, in your opnion, is the best brake on the market for a 308, and why. Assume that cost is not an issue.

Not sure you can say it is the best but I have a Badger FTE on mine and like it. Not that a .308 really needs one but I had it threaded for a suppressor and figured I'd go with a removable brake. Plus it looks cool !

I have the FTE brake also and really like it. It's nice because you can take it off for cleaning easily.

i mean to what end......will you actually go out and get a brake installed and shoot it be cause of some reason ?....??

I like the cooley brake by JP enterprises. They have many differant sizes.

I have a Holland Quick Discharge brake on my son's hunting stick(.308) It's very effective, doesn't harm accuracy and as light as it is, feels like a .223.

The best .308 brake I have ever used was a sound suppressor.

My Tubb brake kicks alot less than my Shark suppressor, I have also shot a 260 with a FTE on it, both rifles about the same wieght, my 308 still has less recoil, FTE is tacticlycool, but the Tubb brake flat out kicks it's ass.

Vais brakes are the absolute best. They are fairly quiet and at 100 yards allow you to see bullet strikes on target. I have them on 3 long guns.
