Rifle Scopes Best/Cheapest Nightforce Dealer

Re: Best/Cheapest Nightforce Dealer

seeing as NF is very strict on their MAP policy I'd imagine that you wont find any earth shattering price from any one dealer. But if I had to guess, check with Alex @ Euro Optic

Re: Best/Cheapest Nightforce Dealer

Prices for the NF scopes are very similar, assuming reputable dealers. I would recommend either Eurooptic or sportoptics to make the purchase because they'll back the product (Better than NF will). Eurooptic's policy is, "we'll refund you if you're unhappy with the scope and return it in "unaltered condition".

Sportoptics will give you 30 days to decide if you like it or not and will refund you, if the scope hasn't been mounted.

I'm not quoting their policies, but that's been my xp the past several months and what I've been told by them. Either of them are great to deal with.

Re: Best/Cheapest Nightforce Dealer

As above.

Nightforce uses it's MAP policy similar to Premiers, which is illegal. Its not up for debate, they just bully dealers into not questioning it.

For this reason, I will never own any nightforce or premier product, I don't support criminals.

Far better products out there for the money anyway.

I have nothing against any of the above dealers, there are so many stand up small companies in the USA, you are quite lucky in that respect!

Alex at Eurooptics, and Jay at Sport Optics are both first class.

Please tell me what they are.
I'll be needing a scope for a new rifle in a couple of months.

What you say is true. But there is also a side bar to what you are saying.

Midway handles the scopes you listed. And they will discount all of the ones you listed except Night Force scopes. So NF is a bit different.

I think NF has had a tight grip on their dealers.

I noticed that Cabela's is starting to handle NF scopes now. I will be interested in seeing how the discounting game works out witrh Cabela's as a dealer. I bet it will change in the future. Nobody can tell companies like Cabela's what to do. It will get interesting real quick. It may take a while since the new NF contract. But after that I think you will see some changes. Just an opinion.

But I will bet one thing for sure. NF dealers were really pissed off when they heard Cabela's is now selling the product. I believe it will cut deeply into their profits pretty soon. Tom.

Re: Best/Cheapest Nightforce Dealer

I was reading on Bigger hammer and one post said NF is bumping their prices for the new year early since lead time is so long. has anyone actualy seen this on any othre sites?

You can get some companies to give you instore credit to get a better price but if you do not need anything that does not help.

Re: Best/Cheapest Nightforce Dealer

We are a factory direct stocking dealer but like most dealers are very low on NF inventory. The lead timed jumped up from what was 6-8 weeks to 24 weeks deliver on the last order we placed. Our inventory is real time so it is easy to see if we have the configuration you want in stock.

There's nothing illegal about it. MAP is common retail practice. Some might consider it on the ethical fringe, but it does not break any laws.

Re: Best/Cheapest Nightforce Dealer

I don't know who is the best dealer, but Bear Basin will sell scopes with one year no interest. They sell all major brands.

Re: Best/Cheapest Nightforce Dealer

Caveat Emptor... Cheapest is not always best in any situation. ie customer service, quality, or price.

I agree, availability may trump everything else. I placed an order for my NXS 8-32x56 ZS Mil/Mil with Optics Planet and after a week, I asked for a tracking number and was told that they would not get any in before February 2, 2012. I promptly asked to cancel my order and started CALLING every dealer I could think of. At FOUR places in a row, I got the same answer, February 2. The next place I called went and checked inventory and said that they had ONE in stock. I said SOLD! By then I wasn't worried about price. Turned out to be exactly the same price as everyone else though.
