Night Vision Best IR Illuminator for the $$

I am looking at IR Illuminators and would appreciate ideas and opinions on which IR illuminator is best for the money. I am shooting generally between 100-300 yards but not wanting to spend more than $200. Any ideas?

A used Surefire V series is probably going to be the best you're going to get under $200 and not be a complete piece of crap. There's a few that will do 300 yards, I know the M952V and M720V will. You can find the M952V used under $200 pretty easily. The M720V aren't quite as common and I doubt you're going to get one in your price range.

A Surfire weapon light isn't going to get you the illumination at that kind of distance. A Steiner SPIR would be my first pick but they are more than you're looking to spend.
