I know this is basically a long range forum but I would like some advice on which quick detach mount would be best for an Aimpiont T1 for my AR carbine. I have several Larue mounts for some of my scopes but not sure it that is the way to go for the T1.
Thanks

Re: Best mount for Aimpoint T1

I like the DD mount for fixed and the ADM mounts for a QD setup. ADM has different risers that will give you either an absolute co-witness or a lower 1/3 (my preference) co-witness. The RTZ on the ADM mount is excellent, as well as the fact you don't need tools to adjust the mount like you do on the LT mount.

I run a Larue on mine and love it. Although I will have to check out those ADM's now as they look very nice. Just decide if you want co-witness or not and go from there.

I run a Knights Armament micro mount with all 3 of my micros.

Re: Best mount for Aimpoint T1

I have several ADM and Daniel Defense mounts for the T1/H1. If you don't need the QD feature then the DD is solid and the lightest of the T1/H1 mounts. Personally I prefer the QD feature of the ADM mount that comes at the expense of a couple extra ounces and a few extra $$.

Re: Best mount for Aimpoint T1

Thanks Guys,
I like the locking leaver on the American Defense. The Knights looks great but it looks like that leaver would catch on everything.
The GDI looks good too so I just sent them an e-mail request. They are priced pretty high compared but may be worth it.

I appreciate the input. I will keep checking back to see more.
