In your opinion, what is the best mount/ring setup for a dual optic scope & MRD setup? As in, a 2.5-10 NF with a mini red dot of to one side or above.

While we're at it... thoughts on a wise choice for the MRD getting a solid bang for buck in your opinion.

Semi-auto .308 that can clear a room, or reach out a bit is the application. I know, I know, my definition of reach out is not in the same stratosphere as some, probably most that are reading this but I'm sure you can see what I want to do here.

Any thoughts, opinions or experience in this area is much appreciated.

Thank you, glad to be here.

Larue's option works, but I don't know if I would call it ideal.

That looks pretty nice. Did you see the Spuhr products that Jaysonk recommended? Se-xy. If aircraft aluminum can be sexy, that would be it. I like the side cant but am open to whatever is the best option based on mass consensus. Hopefully I will get enough replies to generate a hypothesis based on the 'mass' part.

Thank you kindly.

On an AR for fast shots I really like to mount the secondary 3 o'clock. Just rotate the gun and you will see right trough it.
Have both solutions with small picatinny rails and direct interfaces for doktor, burris, RMR etc..

For a gun I shoot prone with, where I wanna be able to use the secondary sight in prone I prefer the half past one soluotion

Some people prefers it top mounted.
The good thing about top mounted is the high situation avareness and that you can see everything in front of you very good. The drawback is that shooting with this in prone sucks as the neck is to short and that you never have any checkcontact at all.

However a good thing with our solution is that it give the user a freedom of mounting his secondary and/or other equipment where he wants it. And if not satisfied he can always move it around.

Wow. Sgt. Spuhr himself! I'm honored. I like the setup in the second to last picture. How much is it and where can I obtain one? Possible Sniper's Hide pricing?
