Hey guys,
I’m in the middle of an ELR 338 LM AI build. I already have a SilencerCo Omega 36M that I will pair with it once it gets out of jail. My LRI barrel is on the way, which now has me thinking about the muzzle device. Of course I saw SiCo’s standard brake, but with this being a fairly heavy recoiling caliber I can’t help to wonder if it is effective enough to run on a 338 and be comfortable. I’m sure I would shoot suppressed 80% of the time or more, but would a more effective brake be warranted, or am I over thinking this?
It appears area 419 has an adapter setup that might work for my can. Is this brake effective enough to justify about 3 times the price?
Again, my goal is to make recoil manageable while being compatible with my suppressor.
I really appreciate your input and thank you for your time.
