Suppressors Best non indexed brake

I just bought a TBA 30p1 for my 300WM. Now that the muzzle will be threaded I would like to get a brake to have another option for a muzzle device. I know I will probobly never use it but it would be nice to have when the can is not in use.

My question is, what the most effective brake that does not need to be timed or indexed when installed. I am not sure such a product exists, but I figured that if it does, you guys would know about it.

I like and use the Center Shot Muscle Brake that has the pinch collar.

Got my solution. Going with the FTE. Should provide just what I am looking for.

Be prepared to contour your barrel down....

I have to get it threaded anyway, so I would just have it done when it is in the shop.

Get the RAD Rapid Brake, not the FTE. The FTE is a heavy and big pig that requires the barrel to be turned down, it will look odd the 95% of the time that you don't have the brake on.

I was thinking about that one too. My concern is that it tightens on the threads, not on the barrel. Anyone see this as an issue?

I've had a great experience with the JP Brake with jam nut. It indexes off of a jam nut, and is easy to install/re-install. No tightening of the threads either, though I doubt that would ever be an issue.

I've got the rad brake and the pinch type muscle brake as stated above. And both tighten on the threads and I haven't seen any issues on the threads.

I love my FTE brake... I went through a few before I landed on that one...

Im not sure why you would have the brake OFF 95% of the time... I would say I have mine ON 95% of the time, actually, I havn't had it off with 1040 rounds and counting.

Also, a good smith can turn a threaded sleeve to protect the threads as well as hide the step in the barrel. Looks like normal. A friend of mine has this done.

SOCAL, the OP doesn't live in CA and can shoot suppressed, per his post he doesn't even plan on using the brake that much.

I live in a free state, so it will be suppressed most of the time. But sometimes it is fun to make it go boom. Even with the cans I already have, I don't use them sometimes just to mix it up.

RAD Brake is good as is the Muscle Brake that Benchmark barrels is selling.

The R&D wont pinch the threads, you only tighten it like an 1/8th of a turn. If that harms the threads, I'm scared to know what the bullet is doing to the barrel.

true story. Where does one get a RAD Brake. Google search gives me disc brakes for ATVs and bikes, and lots of links to other forums discussing the brake. I haven't been able to find a place to order it.
