Mesa Precision sells rebranded lone Peak actions, I have used several on builds and they are dimensionally correct and reliable.
I did not know that. I saw a guy on another forum looking at lone peak and a mesa action along with an impact. That makes sense now.

are you sure about that? They have a few changes but headspace, bolt design and footprint are the same.

ten-4 I thought at one time speaking with the owner of Mesa that they were making his actions? THis was a few years ago. DId I miss hear soemthing?
It might be possible they built a few in the beginning for Mesa. I can't say for sure. I do know they are not making them currently and haven't for some time.
That could be the case, since they have changed the flueting on the bolt since then.
This is my recommendation as well.
He does excellent work, and turnaround time will be quick if components are in stock.
Travis does a lot of builds on Impacts and LP's, he's squared away with those actions and is certainly one of the top gunsmiths in the country right now.
I received my impact very recently from Altus. At the time, they had a Bartlein in 6mm GT, so I pulled the trigger (no pun intended).
I don't suppose anyone ever has deals for high end actions beyond the PX (and Black Friday ARC)?
