I got a VERY good deal on an NIB (or very close to NIB) one.

+1 for Camera Land. Mention the hide and they will work with the price from demo to new. I won the 1600 from them in a drawing awhile ago. Liked it so much that I bought a Leica CFR 1000-R from them too.

I know I'm going to get shit on for saying this but Botach has them at 10% off, free shipping coming out to $695 total. Botach has had a horrible reputation but I think there were some people who got a tremendous deal on a Steiner optic and didn't have any problems. Supposedly Botach has been doing a lot better lately so take it for what its worth. If anything just call them to see if its in stock first.

^^ yeah. Ordering online and never receiving it used to be referred to being "Botach'd". Although now they sell some product via eBay. At least there is the seller protection and official recourse if needed.

The best deal I've found is Covecreekoutfitters.com. The place is unbelievable. The Leica rangefinders are $100 less than anywhere else. That's right-$100. The Leica 1600-b is $699. The 1000-r is $499. They must be close to the dealer cost. Free shipping as well. No crapola UPS innovations or anything like that either. Free USPS priority mail. I ordered this morning and it is already in transit with the tracking number provided. Excellent communication as well.
