In Tennessee , Tactical Response camden, TN
if you are LE or MIL there are several in NC, SC , MS etc.,
storm mtn, might be in range of 8 hours , google storm mountain tactical
also, TEES - not sure where they are now, but i think either north mississippi or west TN

Perhaps, because scoped rifles are so intuitive, folks who can operate one, that's to say, aim and fire, equate executing the firing task with understanding how to shoot. These folks can get relatively good hits on relatively close targets; but, they are not so lucky hitting relatively small targets at more distant ranges. These folks think their problem has something to do with not enough magnification, or something esoteric to long range, which has yet to shine on them. Could this be describing you? If so, you may want to take a marksmanship course which includes the fundementals too.
If Louisville is not too distant a drive, I have a one-on-one, 6 hour course which covers all concepts important to good shooting, including
principles of marksmanship, elements and factors of a steady position, ballistics/trajectory, zeroing, wind and weather, and shooter/target analysis.
The course's range work focuses on sight alignment and trigger control from loop sling, or sand bag supported prone position, with emphasis on perspective of aim consistency.
If this sort of training appears to teach what you want to learn how to do, PM me.

I'm sure what everyone else here is saying is solid stuff.
My 2 cents: I've taken several tactical shooting courses at Blackwater (now called Us training center) in NC, though I haven't taken any of their long range courses. I was told their 3 day precision rifle course is the same as their 5 day LEO/military sniper course but without the stalking, etc, so it's open to civilians. That said, I haven't taken it.
Anyway, all told I've spent 4 weeks there and always it was really good instruction, positive learning environment, very intense courses, etc, usually information overload but delivered in a pretty logical manner. The instructors are primarily recently retired SF and SEALS (and a couple of SAS guys), usually on the younger side, who all did plenty of deployments overseas. All pretty laid back and sure of their abilities, nothing to prove to anyone, I'd say in general a bunch of dudes who just got done being the tip of the spear and are willing to share a little knowledge. Definitely little bit of a military edge to the place, but in a pleasant way.
So for what that's worth.

Okay don't want to sound like a salesguy for them, I feel like I should mention I've never taken courses at any other school like that, so for all I know they're all really good. Just wanted to pass along what I experienced. It's a good place.

Your really close to the best 1000 yard range in the country. Get some training and come shoot at Oak Ridge Sportsman Association. Long Range, High Power, F- Class, Multi-gun and all the pistol disciplines.

criver is being modest. There are VERY good shooters at Oak Ridge. He's in the top few himself. I've been a member at that club probably 12 to 15 years. I've traveled to ranges from Ohio to Florida. It's one of the best clubs in the southeast period.

I attended the one @ Blackwater/Xe it was well worth the money and extra drive time just google B-water or us training center. You do not have to be LE or Miltary to attend and by day 3 you are ringing steel @ 900 yards
