Can you answer the question or do you just feel the need to ruin a thread?

If you can't say anything nice?

Re: Best Pricing on NightForce Scopes

Nightforce is a pretty big stickler about making sure their dealers sell their scopes for msrp and they will yank a dealership from someone if they find out that they are selling for less. So nobody is just gonna come out and say that they will sell it to you for ...? All in all if you are buying a new one most dealers will have the same price(or really close). Granted this has just been my experience and what I have learned and I am by no means a nightforce fanatic like some. So others might have better news for you.

Re: Best Pricing on NightForce Scopes

As stated before, Nightforce has s minimum advertised price. There are dealers who will sell at a discount if you live in area where other dealers don't operate. It is unfortunate because the customer ends up paying more because of a set price. Try ebay or gunbroker as the current economic situation has led to few of them being sold at decent prices.

Re: Best Pricing on NightForce Scopes

Actually the MAP is more for the dealers as some can't stock hundreds of scopes and discount them so small dealers suffer as they have to charge more for their profit margin. This way the scopes cost the same whether you buy it at Midway or Joe's Guns.

It's not like the scopes are overly priced using MAP. Just people feel the need to think they are getting the best deal they could find. Seeing as the price is the same everywhere they are.

I'd get ahold of Mike at CSTactical.

Re: Best Pricing on NightForce Scopes

Thanks Everone. Just for the record, I did search using the Google Hide search.

Learned a lot about pricing that I did not know.

Thanks again. Happy Holidays to all.

Re: Best Pricing on NightForce Scopes

Call or e-mail various dealers mentioned on the Hide. Offering to pay cash or check could save you some money over using a credit card. Also, if you are military or LEO mention that, but be prepared to provide credentials. I was surprised at some of the pricing I received for Nightforce scopes. Definitely better than MAP.

Re: Best Pricing on NightForce Scopes

I don't see it as much as I used to see it but some dealers will offer free shipping or free rings or free ballistic software with a scope purchase. Other than the free shipping I haven't seen any other deals in last few months. Maybe NF stopped the dealers from giving such deals?

Re: Best Pricing on NightForce Scopes

yea, I shopped shopped and shopped different places for night force. They will be the same price from dealer to dealer. Get a used one from a hide member. You'll save some money. Who cares are a few dings...

Re: Best Pricing on NightForce Scopes

Since I had heard nothing but good reviews and positive accounts of service, I ordered mine from EuroOptic. MAP pricing is a fact of life and like mentioned above evens the playing field for smaller dealers.

In my case I had to sell a bunch of stuff and save my pennies for almost four months. I looked at buying used but didn't find the model/features I wanted. When I did the scope was already sold.

I emailed Alex and asked about an order since what I wanted was out of stock. He put together the order and said it would take about two weeks and there would be an invoice with the scope when it arrived.

If you can't say anything nice? </div></div>you know how many times this gets asked a month and we go through it every time?
So its its already been done that many times then the search would maybe tell him what he wanted to know....

Re: Best Pricing on NightForce Scopes

if you get tired of answering the same question just dont answer it. but anyways, i got my nf from optics planet. but it was on backorder for 4-6 weeks. so i would suggest getting one of them here off of the hide. theres no wait!

Re: Best Pricing on NightForce Scopes

If you want to deal with the extra work/hassle. There are ways to get them cheaper.

For example, if you use the bing.com through microsoft search you can get 8% off any buy it now ebay purchase, in addition you can use a rewards CC for that purchase through paypal and probably get another 3-5% back. That's somewhere more than 10% off overall and as much as nearly 15%. Microsoft is doing it in order to try and establish themselves in the search market with yahoo/google in the same way they try to fix everything, by just throwing money at it.

That's usually cheaper than what guys want to sell them for used on the boards.

It's a little more work than just shelling out $ to a dealer for full price, but it's less work than scouring the for sale ads only to find out you paid as much for a used scope from the 3rd owner with no warranty as you could have for a new one from a authorized dealer with warranty.

They've changed the system quite a bit since they started it, and I use it for a lot of things now, there are many big major retailers online you can save 10-25% with by going through their site. I just saved about 20% off a large Burton/Oakley purchase compared to any other prices I could find and it took an extra 5 minutes.

They days of them offering 30% off I think are gone, as I haven't seen anything more than 8% for months now, but even 8% adds up.

Using it on an off over the last year or so it's saved me about $1300 and overall it's taken way less time and hassle trying to watch several for sale boards to jump on "deals".

Re: Best Pricing on NightForce Scopes

Quite a few hide vendors carry the NF line:

Opticsspecialist currently has free overnight shipping.
Stacey @ AINA use to carry NF, not sure if he sells direct anymore. But good guy to talk to, wealth of information.
Adam @ MHSA has free ground shipping.
CSTactical has some package deals that may interest you.

Probably a few more, just the ones I know of offhand. I mean if you are going to pay MAP, at least support those who support the hide.

Don't you find it a trifling ironic that you chastise someone for telling the OP to do a search and yet you did a search for him and uncovered that scope for sale?

Re: Best Pricing on NightForce Scopes

NF has discontinued their mil/mil 5.5-22 without the zero stop. Theres some really good deals out there on gunbroker and such as dealers are trying to get rid of their stock.

Re: Best Pricing on NightForce Scopes

I checked with NF and they did discontinue the non zero stop mil/mil. I'd rather have a zero stop anyways.

Re: Best Pricing on NightForce Scopes

Depending on the discount you could send it for a zero stop upgrade, or buy D&L's speed turret with zero stop. The latter cost less than $100.
