Best rear bag for tactical/long range shooting

I have several and don't like the "best" questions as its all personal preference. I own several different bags some made by yours truly and some by badger, TAB gear, Triad, and many others. In my pack I usually keep one handmade and one TAB bag. If I was to only choose one I really like the TAB gear rear bag. Works great due to 3 different heights and also works great as a rest for the front or as a knee pad on bad terrain or as a support in my foot in a kneeling position. I find many great uses for their bags. Their are many great choices. That's mine.

Thanks Rob i saw that you replied to my creedmoor .308 thread and Im new to the hide and im 13 and my uncle is a huge gun enthusiast and passed it to me so i joined the hide recently and have been starting a few threads
Two black dress socks (stretchy) filled with airsoft bb's, filled to an amount to your preference, rear bag/squeeze bag made easy.
I had my wife sew one up for me. Got a made to order bag, and all it cost me was doing the dishes 
I use the Midway "wedge" rear bag. Very versatile. different heights, easy to adjust, 0-6" On sale it runs about $10.
Great thing is, the old sock bag works as well or better than most bags on the market. I used a sock until I bought a TAB bag, which I now use exclusively (unless I forget it at home, then it's back to the sock).

I tried several different bags including the Red Tac and GAP bags, but ended up liking TAB Gear's best. I think it really comes down to personal preference though.

get something from triad. personally, i prefer red tac gear bag (medium sized), but i'd give the wedge a try
These are the way to go, very versitile!! Many comp shooters use this type of bag.

I like the wedge style bags I have from Triad. I use the large one 90% of the time. I might make up a squeeze bag with the air soft BB's just to give it a try? looks like a good idea. All my socks have holes in them, so I'll have to buy new socks too.
One thing that I don't see mentioned is that bags like the Triad or Red Tac have a loop (or two) that work great for hand placement and even better for running a sling through (so it is hands free when moving from position to position). Just an additional positive to consider.
Earlier this month I ordered a pair of these these. They are neither lightweight nor especially tactical, but they work for me and my Granddaughter in a number of applications, mostly F Class shooting. She shoots a Varmint AR with a Harris BR-height bipod, and I shoot a 30BR Savage Custom off a Caldwell Fire Control Rest.

I agree with what Triad said here... Use the original product and spend the extra few dollars to support great people. I personally don't use the triad rear bags but I have ordered several things from triad (love the stock packs) and it is worth it to spend a little extra as opposed to buying a knock off.
And to answer the OP's question, I love my TAB gear rear bag but I also always have a homemade bag with me when I go shooting.

There is no best, truth is you need a couple different ones to aid all the goofy positions, TAB Gear rear bag works great for prone, and standing with the folded bipod resting on whatever, WieBad Pillows, both the Todd and Pump version are the ticket for just about everything else, the WieBad Berry is also in my pack, it's better to have and not need than need and not have.
I also use Triad's big and small wedge. I don't care if its cheaper or not, I wont buy some knock off Chinese version of equipment some one else( Triad ) has already made and been selling for a while. I also know that IF there is ever any problem with anything of his it will be taken care of.
I Have tried a bunch and currently use a Triad small wedge and a TAB bag in different situations/positions.
One sock in your choice of color and size, add air soft BB's to desired level, tie off sock top, deploy and shoot...
Its tough to beat a sock filled with polypro beads. They are so simple to make I am always amazed that there is actually a market for "commercial" sand socks. I guess to each their own, but I would rather spend my money on something else.
I have both the small and large wedge from Triad as well as the Red Tac Gear rear bag and tactical pillow (all purchased from Triad). I have never used the Tab so I can't speak on it but I have been extremely happy with the wedge bags. I have used them in combination with each other as well as with the Red Tac Gear bags. I probably use the small wedgie the most.

TAB Rear Bag is hard to beat. Its been my go to bag for a while. I've played with the regular Red Tac bag, I think its fill is a bit too stiff. I just bought and am playing around with the Red Tac Pillow which is a big bigger but the fill is more versatile so far, not too stiff, not too soft...that's what she said!

If I ever had bought a bag and got rid of my sock, Id buy a TAB. Tony made an impression on me at a match and Ill support his business whenever I can.
I like making my own. Not just for cost savings but for feel. I have found the produced versions are too overfilled and also the material doesn't mold as easy to use as the old sock filled with poly pellets. I have used the same sock for years now with some small repairs here and there and upgrades in a piece of 550 cord to allow it to be wrapped under the front(near bolt) side of my stock pack and hang on the rifle when I need to move quickly at match stages. No need to pick up the bag as it's attached.
There are many good production bags out there like the TAB but you have to try them and feel what feels best for you and your needs.

I've used the red tac, badger bones, a filthy sock like ROB's dirty bashed up smashed thing and the Triad tapered rear bag...
The Tapered rear bag is by far my favourite of the lot.
They're all very GOOD for different reasons but I've found the tapered bag to be the most practical for my field shooting.
