Best Rem 700 trigger for the money used for huntin

Re: Best Rem 700 trigger for the money used for huntin

If you search there's many threads on this.

I use a Timney, no experience with any other aftermarket triggers. It works great, easy to install and adjust and priced affordably.

I have both a Timney and a Rifle Basix. Either one for me has been a very nice upgrade. My rifles are pre X model trigger from Remington.

Re: Best Rem 700 trigger for the money used for huntin

Just dropped a Timney into a Rem LTR .308 and a custom 300WM. The LTR had the X-Mark set at 3.5 lbs. The 300 was an older Rem trigger worked to a crisp 2.5 lbs. I noticed when I dry fired both, the reticle jumped on the target. The Timneys are set at 3 lbs. and when I dry fire there is no jump. Groups definitely improved. The wide trigger gives a better feel on the pad of the finger. With the exception of skim-bedding, the Timney's gave me the most improvement. Go Timney.

I have the timney straight trigger. I haven't adjusted it at all since installation, it works great for my target shooting/hunting needs.

I use the timney straight trigger and love it. It has helped me greatly. even won a small match after useing it. the trigger was not why i won but having a good trigger and not worrying about trigger pull helps.

I run a Timney 510, comes about 2.5 lbs out of the wrapper, I think it is perfect for a dual purpose rifle.

Got to play with a Jewell yesterday, man the break on that trigger is something of beauty. If the shoe was only wider and serrated.
