Rifle Scopes best rifle scope for $300

Do you want turrets with external markings or do you want capped turrets that are used just to zero the rifle?
Do you want a simple duplex reticle, a BDC reticle, or a milliradian or MOA scale on the reticle?
Do you want adjustable parallax?
Does it have to be a variable power?

No matter what, you cant have everything. Id get a swfa. Though it does depend on what you want to do with it, my answer will probably be the same.

The Primary Arms has great reticles which you'll need w/ a sub $300 scope as the tracking is likely to suffer if the glass is any good. Which the PA glass is.

But we really need to know what you want to do with it and caliber does come in to play when buying reticles.

I have 2 Bushnell Engage 4-16x44 tactical and have been very pleased with them. I’ve used the one on my savage 10 FCPSR 6.5 creed out to just over 800 yards without issue. Tracking is good, has side focus, good moa reticle that matches the 1/4 moa locking turrets, Glass is better than some of my older elite tactical models, and the easiest zero set I’ve ever used. No tools, just spin the top and reset. I use the other one on my cz455. Good low light as well. No where near as good as high end stuff, but completely useable during legal hunting hours and better than some of my other glass.
