I just bought one of these and like it a lot. I did the mil/mil version. I think Midway has them this week for $289. My primary rifle carries a NF with moa reticle and moa knobs, and I did the mil/mil thing so I could get familiar with it, just like you're suggesting.
I do some testing on scopes, things like verifying the tracking and click values, and the Millett passed well. It's no Nightforce, but it's a great deal at the price. One especially nice feature is that it will focus down to living room distances allowing me to dryfire in the house.
