Looking to put a sling on my bell and Carlson a5 medalist what is the best sling in your opinion ?

I just received a Savvy sniper sling. Took good care of me, super quality, made in USA product. I recomend them!
I admittedly have not used a TIS sling, so I cannot comment, but I have a number of TAB gear slings that are AMAZING and Tony (TBurkes) is top notch as well in the customer service realm!
100% made is the USA! The don't import "other" stuff, all their products are made here!

I was trying to give a well deserved compliment to a great little company-I didn't mean to start something, if I'd have known you would be upset I don't think I would have posted, however; I felt they were worthy of a mention, I am glad you too are 100% American made! Far too many companies make a few things in the U.S., and really talk it up, while all the time bringing in a big chunk of their offerings from china, india, etc.. Nothing illegal, but it sure tells you what kind of low life scum you're dealing with! When you trade on being American made-don't back door a bunch of stuff made in commie china! Thanks to you for being 100% American in all that you sell!

I too will 'shout out' for the TIS sling. I have one of those, as well as I have some TAB gear. You can't go wrong with either of those two 'stand-up' companies. And they are both members here, and supporters of the 'Hide.
Cant recomend TIS or TAB Gear slings enough! I have both on my rifles, and they both work great! Not to mention they always step up an support the sport.

I love the TAB slings I use, a great all around sling that can really assist with positional shooting. I am ordering one of the Rapid Adjust slings from TAB for the rifle I am working on right now, looks really slick in the video. Can't say enough good things about the sling, never had an issue. And +1 for ordering from Rifles Only, they have top notch customer service as well. I am really itching to get that RAD sling and try it out.
Wow, nobody uses the Vickers sling? That Vickers sling is pretty damn nice, very well made, I wasn't able to find a better one outside base. I looked at that TAB and TIS. It looks a lot like the Vickers without the quick adjust buckle (which is nice for many uses, including hasty support). EXCELLENT customer service, they even sent me a $40 part for free when Midway screwed me on their product and blamed it on them. So I got another one from them. One of them has a faxtex buckle so you can unbuckle the rear of the sling in an emergency, or remove it altogether and then buckle the rifle to your LBE or vest. Comes in different material weight and width, metal or plastic hardware, different ways of using it and upgrades, etc. I think the guy said he set out to make the best sling, and so far I have to agree.

Hey Brother, Larry makes a very good sling. He is a friend of mine.
Now when you say you have seen the TIS and TAB Slings do you mean you have seen the many designs by TIS and TAB or just one each. As to comparing either brand to Larry's slings, mine where made before Larry's and I don't see a lot of similarities myself. The TAB designs don't look like mine or Larry's

On the Savy Sniper. I have heard nothing but good about the design and guys associated with it. I have not tried on.
One not mentioned that is also very good is The Mountain Shooter. Made by another good guy
On what is the best sling. There is no best. Its what works best for you. I suggest using them all and picking your own match.
Im not upset at all, I was just confused by the wording of your post. Im happy to know about another sling company that is American made !! I wish there were more of US and less of THEM.
Maybe it just looked that way to me when I went to the site. I don't own one, just the 2 Vickers and others. The Vickers really did it for me with the adj. buckle, so unless the sling is for primarily support, in which case I still want a 1907, I like that.
As far as I know, triad is the only place that's sells both TAB and TIS.

+1 for the TIS quick cuff. I really like mine. Its wider than a lot of the older slings, and all the buckles and connecters work flawlessly. Its also easy to use. Since I learned positional shooting with a USGI sling, I am partial to the Quick Cuff by Rifle Slings - Tactical Intervention Specialists Sniper Rifle (TIS) as it allows me to use the very same positions.
However, I would have to ask what your using the sling for? Shooting positions, carrying etc? If I was looking for a sling to carry and not positional shooting (ie, your shooting from a bipod)- I might opt for a different sling. I have heard good things about the biathlon slings, but I haven't tried them out yet (I keep meaning to).

I have used some TAB and TIS slings in the past. I now prefer to use slings that are as simple as possible. The BFG sling is a good example. I am currently using a heavily modified MagPul MS3 sling.
My favorite is the TIS slip cuff quick release. It combines the best features of all the slings I have tried. I can't say enough about TIS customer service. I bought mine through Triad Tactical and was very pleased with the transaction.

I imagine that given your AO & population density, that you could find a shooter or three with each type of sling which he'd be willing to loan you. For a weekend, or a bit longer. And said shooter might even be "coerced" into showing you some of the finer points/pros & cons of the sling(s) in question. It don't get much better than a sise by side comparison test to see what fits your shooting style, in addittion to where sling Z can be used to shore up/trainn up your innate weak points. As well as using it to create "new",, unconventional, stabilized positions.
