Where is the best source for a good stock pack? I need something that will hold extra ammo, hunting liscence, etc. I've heard good things about the Eagle Industries pack, but have heard its sometimes takes a long time to fulfill single orders. I see Triad Tactical sells a pack as well that looks similar to the EI pack, is it the same under a different brand?

    Thanks

I like the Triad stock packs and have several. If your going to put a lot in the pack you might want to go with the large. On the website it says it's their design.

Take a look at SKDTac PIG Rifle Stock Pack. Seems to address all the things I didn't care for in a rifle pack.

What in particular makes this pack better than the triad in your experiences? I like having the shell holders inside, but not sure about the bungee cord retaining system.

    Thanks

    Easy:

The lack of Velcro and bulk.
I like the pouch, and the bullet loops inside the pocket, so if you are hunting you don't inadvertently drop a round by knocking it out of the loop. The inside the pocket also keeps it clean and dirt free. I also like the incorporated pocket divider, such as for hunting license / tags.
The last thing is the EASE of adjust-ability. Although I have adjusted Velcro style packs just fine, and I still use them, this allows for fast and snug fitting in seconds. Also the Hypolon material (same stuff used to make Zodiak Inflatables) is very grippy, so the pack stays put.

Thanks for the input. This is probably what I'll end up going with. Seems to be exactly what I need.
