Yes another one of these, I dont care about the glass or looks, i want a 50mm scope that can track as the day is long!

Im getting a custom 300 WM 700 back, and i dont want to sell it but don't really want to spend 1.5-3K on optics for it. Yes it will be used for long range shooting, so i want target/tactical turrets with parralax.

I was thinking either a leupold VX3 target (hows tracking?), or a ziess

Sightron s3 without a doubt mine tracks faultlessly, glass is very good.
Here in the uk a 8-32x56 comes in at £880
Or the 6-24x50 comes in around £790

Value for money is second to none.

How much did you spend on your custom rifle? That should tell you what to spend on a scope.

Bushnell 3-12 FFP Mil/Mil or any of the Super Sniper scopes. All are a very good value well under $1000.00, and I have never had a problem with them for tracking or anything else for that matter.

I have the Sightron S3, Viper PST and Bushy ET (6x24-25 ffp), I would give the edge to the Bushy, with the other two a hair behind, a thin hair. I looked through a NF and a few other high end scopes and I have a hard time justifying the jump in value vs the cost diff.

A little pricey but IMHO Definately the best scope for your application under $1000 Zeiss 4.5-14X44 Conquest with Target Knobs and Mil dot reticle to range.
