I have no experience with in-ear hearing protection and am interested in getting a pair

I know that you can spend several thousand on custom fit plugs but am not really interested in that

example:
I am interested if there is a pair that gets 90% of the performance at a much lower price range

what have you guys used and liked?

You can't spend enough to protect your natural hearing resource. The last 10 years I have been using Sorin Pro's ~ $400-500 ; skeet shooting, race cars, military war zones......worn out. A good hearing aid pair costs $6000! Just purchased my first pair.

In one of the many threads on this topic the 3m peltor eep-100 were mentioned.
The price of the 3m peltor eep-100 is very reasonable. The 3m peltor eep-200 is closer to the Otto's in price.

Which one does a better job, is more durable and water resistant with good CS?
I don't own either but I lean toward the Otto's when I have considered purchasing.

I’ve never found a flanged ear plug that sealed as well as a foam plug. I just talk really loud on the range. Or, if I really can’t hear them, look at them with a confused face. Do any of these electronic ear plugs come with foam tips?

I've been using EAR Inc SHOTHUNT in-ear electronics for nearly 4 years. VERY comfortable and the best NRR rating of anything I've researched. Please let me know if you have any questions/concerns, I've had nothing but amazing results.

I have walker razors and peltor tactical 100s. The walker razors have essentially mono microphones and all sounds seem like they are coming from the same place while the peltor tactical 100s have nice directional sound.
Overall the peltor are better but the walkers have an add on for a walkie talkie which is pretty unique and works fairly well.
