What is the best way to clean a Rem trigger (or custom Rem trigger) to keep it functioning properly and help prevent an A.D.?

I was just going to blow mine out (Jewel trigger for a Remmy) with Gun Scrubber but didn't know if that would work or make things worse.

Just wondering what y'all do....

Consistent with what I've heard. Use solvent/degreaser. Oil and lubrication are not recommended on triggers. They just collect dust and grime that impair trigger function.

Jewell recommends lighter fluid.I also blow mine out with low pressure compressed air, like you get to clean office equipment. Pete

Lighter fluid, Q-tip and compressed air.
After the lighter fluid evaporates it leaves behind a light and dry film of lube that does not seem to attract and hold crud.

gun scrubber or lighter fluid and then leave it alone is what most people preach. I clean it then put a tiny drop of eezox on the sear interface and then wipe it with a q-tip which pulls 90% of the eezox off leaving the slightest bit on the contact surface.

Never had a problem with any of my remington or jewel triggers.
