Hi guys,
We need your input on scheduling. We are putting another two day precision rifle course together for September at Mifflin County Sportsmen's Association, Lewistown, PA. The range includes the ability for some serious UKD out to 1000Y. We have run this course many times previously with great success.
It includes many beginner/fundamental elements but also incorporates practical exercise of more advanced topics. The course will comprise classroom and live fire training on:
<ul style="list-style-type: disc">[*]BRM - Review and practice of fundamentals, position setup[*]Exterior Ballistics and Trajectory[*]Using a databook and recording engagement data properly[*]Zeroing - how, why, where[*]Using a ballistic calculator - what you need to know[*]Shooting across a Chrony[*]Range Estimation - both MIL / MOA[*]MET - effects of the environment and wind[*]Unsupported/Unorthodox positions[*]Calling shots, spotting trace and effective commo.[*]Danger space & Defensive engagement techniques[*]Target engagement out to 1000Y on both steel/paper [*]Maintenance tasks / cleaning - Rifle and optics[/list]
One of the two days is Saturday, September 11th. We cannot shoot on Sunday until 1pm, so the course won't work as a Sat/Sun.
Would you prefer the course on two consecutive Saturdays, or minimize the travel & expenses and attend on a Friday/Saturday?
We can go either way but I would like to hear from potential attendees on what would work best for you.
